Summaries of WSIAT Decisions Involving OWA
Since its inception in 1985, the Office of the Worker Adviser (OWA) has been involved in thousands of appeals on behalf of injured workers. The following selection includes some of the more important Decision Summaries organized alphabetically by the key issue under appeal.
Please note that a worker's "date of injury" and subsequent changes to the Workplace Safety and Insurance Act, 1997, the regulations and WSIB policies, determine whether a particular decision can be applied as precedent. If you need more help, contact a qualified representative.
